All Of The Fun From Last Year!

Celebrating Kindness And Love.
The Story Of The Camp Boggy Creek Tumbleweed!

Every camper and family member receives a special necklace adorned with a tumbleweed at the beginning of each session. This tumbleweed is not just a piece of decoration; it holds a significant purpose in promoting kindness and positive interactions among the camp community. Here's how it works:

1. Receiving the Tumbleweed Necklace:
Each participant starts with a tumbleweed necklace.

2. Witnessing Kindness: When someone observes another person performing a kind act, they acknowledge this by taking a piece of yarn from their own tumbleweed.

3. Sharing Kindness: The witness then ties this piece of yarn onto the necklace of the person who did the kind act. This simple gesture recognizes and celebrates the act of kindness.

4. Building a Visual Record: As the week progresses, necklaces become increasingly adorned with various pieces of yarn, symbolizing the many acts of kindness that have occurred.

By the end of each session, these yarn-filled necklaces serve as a powerful visual representation of the kindness and positive community spirit that Camp Boggy Creek fosters. This tradition not only encourages campers and family members to be kind but also creates a supportive and compassionate environment for everyone involved.
