A Generous Grant = A Life-Changing Camp Experience
Due to the generosity of Bruce Harrison Richter Leukemia Fund at Gulf Coast Community Foundation, one camper will get to experience a life-changing camp experience at Camp Boggy Creek. The awarded grant in the amount of $2500 covers expenses to provide this experience to a child with Leukemia, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
Camp Boggy Creek President and CEO Dan Jurman expressed his gratitude for the grant: ”This generous grant from the Bruce Harrison Richter Leukemia Fund at Gulf Coast Community Foundation enables a Camper to experience the true magic that is Camp Boggy Creek. When children with serious medical illnesses come to Camp Boggy Creek, they will be safe, respected, and loved, and above all, get to be a kid. Thank you for the difference that you’re helping us to make.”
Since 1996, Camp Boggy Creek has made it possible for children with serious illnesses to enjoy a camp experience in a safe, medically- sound environment. Located just a short drive from Orlando, Florida, the 232-acre Camp serves children ages 7-16 who’ve been diagnosed with a serious illness. As a year-round retreat, Camp Boggy Creek serves thousands of campers and their families through activity-packed weekly and weekend camp programs.
