A LOT of Cotton, A TON of LOVE

When a child with a serious medical illness makes his or her way to Camp Boggy Creek, not only are they greeted with open arms, love, respect, a slew of medical professionals, and a ton of super excited counselors, they are also greeted with their very own Boggy Bear. These adorable bears are waiting to be hugged and loved on their cabin bunk and are treated with so much TLC from their new owners.

On Wednesday October 25, 2024, 83 wonderful volunteers come to Camp and participated in a boggy bear stuffing party. Our Boggy Bears are such an important part of the camp experience for our campers and these fine humans showed up to make it happen. 

In the span of 3 hours, these wonderful volunteers stuffed and sewed 746 bears. The love in the dining hall was palpable! Some of our bear stuffers were newbies, some have been helping with this labor of love for over 20 years.

We are beyond grateful for these individuals and the 12 organized groups for coming out and helping to provide each camper with their own Boggy Bear. YOU MATTER and you are LOVED.
