Meet Paige Swanberg! Our Director of Special Events

Camp Boggy Creek hosts a few special events throughout the year to benefit our campers and Paige is here to help us make those events beyond memorable for our guests. We stopped by her office recently to get to know her a bit better!

Paige, can you tell us about your role at Camp?
Paige: Hello there! I’m the Director of Special Events at Camp Boggy Creek. My role is to plan and organize various events that showcase the amazing work we do here at camp. I ensure that each event we host not only celebrates our mission, vision, and values, but also gives a voice to our campers and their experiences. These events range from fundraising galas and corporate events to golf outings and team-building conferences. Additionally, I provide logistical support for all regional initiatives and third-party events across the state.

Why did you decide to come to Camp Boggy Creek?
Paige: I made the decision to join the camp family to be a part of an organization that can change lives. I am excited to create my own life-changing experiences and demonstrate my love and passion through the events we organize.

When someone leaves one of your events for Camp, how do you want them to feel?
Paige: When a guest leaves an event, it's important to me that they feel safe, respected, and loved. I believe that what people remember most is how they felt at an event, rather than what was said. I want the positive feeling that camp creates to be reflected in the way guests feel when leaving an event.

What should people know about you and your approach to your role?
Paige: I am blessed to be here to share my event planning expertise to the Camp Boggy Creek family while embodying the core values of kindness, joyfulness, safety, collaboration, inclusiveness, and excellence.

What do you do in your free time?
Paige: In my free time, I love to be active and seek new adventures with the people around me. I am always on the lookout for new places to travel to. I love to end my day with a walk with my dog.

What’s one thing people don’t know about you?
Paige: I have a great passion for water sports and was a part of a waterski team in Lakeland FL.
